Introduction

"What must I do to be saved?" Have you ever asked yourself, or someone else, that question? I would suppose that in the midst of our fast-paced, rapid-fire, materialistic, naturalistic world, many of us may have not even thought about such a question before. And yet, it is one of the most important questions which anyone anywhere could and should ever ask! The reason is because it is a question that has very personal and profound, indeed, eternal implications! In fact, that is why this is essentially the very same question which a very wealthy, young ruler asked Jesus Christ nearly 2000 years ago as recorded for us in Luke 18:18. And the answer which the Bible gives to this question is well worth our study ... in fact, some of the things which the Scriptures teach concerning this matter may very well surprise you! And your personal response to that teaching literally will affect your eternal destiny.
